Comfy seat, nice decor, adequate wifi, and so far an exemplary soundtrack. The iced coffee didn't blow me away (but I think I had a jones for cold-brewed instead of chilled, not their fault). There is an interesting, employee-created art project on the walls--a nice touch.

Service was a little slow this first visit, fish was a little meh--though certainly acceptable, but the "all day happy hour" half-price prices are hard to beat and more than reason enough to dine there. We arrived in Portland after a too-long morning of sleep-deprived travel: a big plate of sushi for two for $20 was a satisfying, fulfilling dinner. The rating would be lower if not for the excellent price: hopefully it's "all day, every day, forever happy hour."
It was a little fun back when my friends and I knew the late night waitresses, but it's not anymore. The only reason you wouldn't go to Denny's instead is... well, I can't think of one.
They have weekend wifi, apparently a rarity in downtown Palo Alto. My frappuccino wasn't good enough to merit visiting for coffee alone, but as a cool drink on a hot day it was fine.
They've only been open a few weeks at this point, so I trust that the confusion about prices and confusion behind the counter are just temporary things (though I'll update if my opinion changes).

Cheap and novel and tasty and close to Monica's house.

Pretty great coffee, but that's what you deserve for the price.
Modern interior, unassuming exterior (maybe they'll get a sign soon!). I like that the location is not right in the hustle and bustle, I hope it stays that way. Designed with just food and drink in mind: you don't go here with a laptop to work (no outlets: I'm sure a conscious decision), you get some coffee (perhaps some food), sit down, and enjoy it, briefly.
I'll go again, but that's because I don't know my other coffee options and don't know if I can find coffee as good nearby (any suggestions?).

Enjoyable. I appreciate restaurants that are mindful of where their ingredients come from, and in this case their interest paid off with fresh, flavorful fish, herbs, veggies.
Monica and I split the fish cakes appetizer and the rainbow trout encrusted with dijon mustard and almonds. $8 for two fish cakes is a little much, but I'll try other appetizers next time. Didn't think too much of our waitress; I'm sure she's a nice person, but may have been having a too-busy evening, or maybe waitressing's not for her. A variety of patrons, but they tended that evening towards painfully hip.
20-minute wait on a Monday evening: a bit long! (Yelp says they don't take reservations, does that mean we can't call ahead and get on the wait list either?) Adorably small dining area is to blame, though the aesthetic in that tiny room is great. They could move somewhere many times the size and still have bodies filling the seats.

Noah and Kyle and I were here on a Sunday noon, part of the lunch excursion to Rosamunde. I'm a sucker for variety, and I latched right having seen the huge number of beers on tap. What's that? Happy hour beers are like $2.50/pint? As if I needed a reason to drink at lunch.

Oh, so this is the fabled Tuesday burger place. Well, I went on a Sunday, so I had to tolerate a delicious, boar-meat hotdog instead. We were pleased with the partnership between here and Toronado: what makes hot dogs better is beer.

It's a nice looking business and I ate there on a nice day and had a perfectly adequate burrito, so I wasn't particularly annoyed when I felt forgotten for minutes while an employee was apparently waiting for my cheese to melt or something?.
